2 Eurofighter Typhoon from RAF 6 Squadron arrived at Butterworth Air Base. The 7000 miles journey from Leuchars Air Base at Fife UK take 4 days. It stop at Jordan, Oman & Sri Lanka before reaching Butterworth. The Typhoon supported by VC-10 aircraft (ground crews & engineers).
Typhoon will involve in FPDA (Five Power Defense Agreement) Exercise LIMA 11 at Singapore. After FPDA exercise LIMA 11, the Eurofighter Typhoon will participate LIMA 2011 at Langkawi (Dec. 6 - 10).
The Typhoon will exhibit in static and aerial display. The Typhoon expected to be the main attraction for this year LIMA.

Continue.....Expectation List of Aerial Display Aircraft at LIMA 2011
Another main attraction aircraft for aerial display are:
1. F/A - 18 F Super Hornet from US Navy
This is the third appearance of F/A-18 Super Hornet at LIMA. The first appearance was during LIMA 01 & the second appearance at LIMA 03.
During the previous aerial display, the F/A-18 F Super Hornet was piloted by the famous Boeing test pilot, Ricardo Travern.
F/A-18 F Super Hornet knowingly for it's air superiority for fighting & attack role.

2. F-16 C/D Block 50/52 from RSAF (Fighter jet)
The second of appearance of F-16 C/D Block 50/52 from RSAF at LIMA. The previous appearance was during LIMA 09.
During the previous LIMA, the F-16 C Block 50/52 (single seat) display a combination with AH-64D Longbow Apache attack helicopter.

3. Aermacchi MB-339 CM from RMAF (Training / light attack)
RMAF receive it's new training / light attack aircraft during LIMA 09. MB-339 CM is a variant of Aermacchi MB-339 CD for Italian air force designated for Malaysia Air Force specification.
4. MiG-29N Smokey Bandit aerobatic team from RMAF.
MiG-29N is the main attraction for every LIMA starting from it's inception into TUDM inventory beginning from LIMA 1995. It's famous formation enthralling the crowd. Speed, agility & 9G turning was their best part of performance.
