Indonesia government officially requested for FMS (Foreign Military Sales) of 24 ex-USAF F-16C/D Block 25 aircraft. Requested include F-100-PW-200 or F100-PW-220E engines.
The upgrade includes major systems and components - LAU-129A/A Launchers for AIM-120 AMRAAM, Raytheon ALR-69 Radar Warning Receivers, Radios, Expanded Enhanced Fire Control (EEFC) or Modular Mission Computers, Terma ALQ-213 Electronic Warfare Management Systems, BAE ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispenser Systems, Cartridge Actuated Device/Propellant Actuated Devices (CAD/PAD), Situational Awareness Data Link, Raytheon Enhance Position Location Reporting Systems (EPLRS), Northop Grumman GPS/INS navigation system and targeting pod (Lockheed Martin SNIPER or Northop Grumman LITENING).
The APG-68 radars and MIL-STD-1760 databus expected to equip F-16-C/D Block 25. The radar & databus combination allows the fighters to carry a much wider range of weapons - medium range air-air missiles and ground attack weapons.
This requested will add / enhance TNI-AU existing fleet that includes 10 F-16A Block 15, SU-27SK & SU-30MKK.
